Time Out online website is my go-to place for information on where to eat; especially the Cheap Eats section! I use it often. Anytime that I make travel arrangements to go somewhere, I immediately begin to research…..
I love to eat good food, and it is so much my main hobby! I have a reputation for picking out good restaurants and being a fairly good cook. My consistent joke is that I “have a reputation to uphold”. Many years ago, my husband said to me that “every meal does not have to be a culinary experience”; my response was “yes it does”. I still live by this statement.
It is very safe for you to assume that I eat out a great deal; which is absolutely true! This can get to be pretty costly after a while; which is why I eat out a lot for lunch. Lunch is always cheaper than dinner. (see previous post on Why Not Lunch). I also work on finding restaurants that are not too pricey (by that, no more than $25 a main dish for dinner). For example, I was recently in New Orleans and was able to find the best fried chicken in a bar in the French Quarter, using Cheap Eats. I would never have known about this place if I had not researched……
The $25 price range can be a challenge in NYC, which is why I love and use CHEAP EATS NY. I have been able to eat some amazing food using this site, no matter where I am! Especially in NYC, where there are a million restaurants to choose from; how does one pick the place? I highly recommend looking into Cheap Eats, to expand your horizons on where to eat next!
Happy eating… as we celebrate the wondrous joy of food and cooking!
