Dessert ala Desert!

Eating my way through the California Desert! California has an excellent climate for growing vegetables, due to the high number of days (270) between the last and first frost. It is an absolute pleasure to go to the supermarket to investigate the produce section.

There is so much abundance here! Avocados, mangos, dates, figs, grapes, almonds, carrots and more. There are date farms near where I am staying; and the dates are quite good

I want to share a wonderful dessert that I had in a restaurant recently in Palm Springs. This was the best carrot cake that I have ever eaten! The restaurant’s name is Eight4Nine; and serves amazingly good California cuisine! I highly recommend this place for it’s food and decor! One of the prettiest restaurants that I have ever been in! Eating here is a lovely experience, whether it be brunch, lunch or dinner…

Now, doesn’t that look fabulous! It was soooooo good………..
