Today’s blog is featuring the organization World Central Kitchen! No organization is more active in feeding folks in desperate situations and need. I have the utmost profound respect for WCK and Jose Andres!

WCK is an organization that feeds folks around the world.. WCK states that it is “first to the frontlines, providing meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crisis. We build resilient food systems with locally led solutions.” AND THEY DO build resilient food systems wherever they go…….

WCK began in. 2010 after the earthquake in Haiti. JOSE ANDRES found himself “cooking alongside displaced Haitians in a camp.” learning to cook the beans the way that they wanted”. This was the beginning! WCK shows up everywhere there is a need, and amazingly quickly. This organization has grown over the years, and is now training chefs around the world to prepare for emergency disaster food systems. NO ONE HAS DONE THIS BETTER!

Words of love and wisdom: “Food relief is not just a meal that keeps hunger away. It’s a plate of hope. It tells you in your darkest hour that someone, somewhere cares about you.”(Jose Andres).

WCK has provided over 250 million meals to date! The This is an incredible organizational model to help feed the world.! Chefs are being trained for disasters, people are being fed hot, real food in significant times of need, and love is being given and shared to folks who need to know that they are cared about. !y impressed how WCK shows up the next day to make sure that people don’t go hungry….. what a blessing Jose Andres and WCK is to the world.
