I absolutely love ice cream, in any form! For my birthday this year, I decided to give myself the gift of a fabulous ice cream cake! Once I decided this, I had to research NYC companies to see who would have the honor of making my cake!

There are many ice cream companies in NYC, but not everyone makes a cake. I found the perfect place- AMPLE HILLS CREAMERY!

I have recently found out that Ample Hills Creamery has CLOSED all 12 NY locations at the end of 2022. It is absolutely true that restaurants and desserts places come and go over time in NYC life. Many stay but many more close….

ICE CREAM STORES SHOULD NEVER CLOSE!.. especially ones that are SOOOOO GOOD!. Ample Hills Creamery was in that category. So sad that this once “mom and pop” hand made ice cream store in Bklyn, got bought out by a large company. They grew the brand quickly and are now gone due to money issues….

This closure of one my most favorite NYC ice cream places leaves a lesson for entrepreneurs to be learned, I am sure. I don’t think that this is the first time, or the last time that this will happen…..
