The HUGH!

The HUGH is one of the newer Food Halls in NYC; located at 157 E. 53rd St. There are 15+ restaurants in this place! Lots of different foods to choose from; lots of different cuisines. There is also a wine bar and a craft beer taproom. This lovely environment is located in the Midtown Citigroup Center. What a fabulous resource for folks working in that area. And there are many…

The Hugh is named after the architect, Hugh Stubbins; opening in 2021. The hours are 7am-9pm; Monday through Friday. Some restaurants are open on the weekend; indicating that the Food Hall remains open. This is a business area, which explains some of the restaurants close. Not much traffic during the weekend in Midtown.

Going to this Food Hall is like visiting the United Nations. There are cuisines from different places around the world. I had a hamburger from BK Jani. Pakistani food the other day!. . My first Culinary Adventure into Pakistani cuisine….

This burger was quite good and different! Grass-fed beef which was wonderful and so well cooked. The degree of heat in your burger can be ordered to your individual preference. The heat is provided by the seriously flavorful spices.

The environment of The HUGH is absolutely beautiful in my opinion! It has a large seating area with many tables. It is so well lit, bright and welcoming! Great place to eat, hang out, people watch! Now go out and Enjoy Your Own Culinary Adventure!
